Renee Black tells her pupils the story behind a mural in the dining room.

Matthew Adamson and Mark Ernest teach their junior pupils how to draw the carvings on the wharenui. Danielle and Carmen get their group doing the stick games. They look very organised.

Fun and games in break time.
Keep the ball off the boys! Vivienne surveys the mural. The taniwha needs decorating, the whale looks OK.
The junior school are looking at the shelter of the Mataatua waka. Kia ora Mrs Leus! Kenny, Dylan, Kylie and Danielle practise their string games to get ready to teach the juniors the next day.
Michelle, Carmen and Melanie work on the combined senior mural. Mr Hawkes talks to the juniors about the landing of the old Mataatua waka about 1000 years ago.
Siri adjusts the braids in Andrea's hair. Lea-anne and Leah Sheather enjoy each other's company outside the marae.
