~Awakeri School~

~Touch Tournament 2011~
On March 30th, we had lots of teams at school for the Rangitaiki Touch Tournament.

Cody Bragg is running hard in his touch game.His camouflage shirt might give him an advantage!	Awakeri are playing in red against Matata. Lance is refereeing. Kevin Paulsen has a funny tee shirt on, unless it's true that he is selling his sister's stuff!
Karaitiana did well in his turn at refereeing as well.	Shelby shows it's fun. She's been touched by the Edgecumbe defender. Luisa and Dillon are ready to receive the ball.
Jalen, playing for the Rockets, has made a break through the Vikings. Jordan turns to give chase. Cabhain is running to get on the inside, then he can pass the ball out along the line.	Millie is having lots of fun, two Vikings - Daniel and Jordan - are chasing her, but she's a tricky runner.
She might be caught this time. Millie is trying to escape the attentions of Jessie, Daniel and Jordan.	Mr Fitz was the over all organiser, but Mrs Petersen and Mrs Cronin did a good job too, organising the refereeing and reorganising some of the draw and keeping things running smoothly. The day was played in excellent spirit by all teams. Well done. Touch was fun!
