The Awakeri School Swimming Sports

March 2014

Rata Rats
Swimming Sports is the first big house event for the year. Rata made a special effort to get in the mood. Sarah and Chloe are wearing red ties, they even had pompoms! The open medley and 2 lengths freestyle were early events.
Emily
Mitchell and Jamie are off, into the one length freesetyle. Emily Julian, Jenae Brownless and Taryn Forbes had some great battles in their eleven year old races.
Jadyn backstrokes her way down the Edgecumbe College pool. It may not look like he's going to, but Noah won the biggest splash for his age group with this effort.
Emily
The 8 year old girls get ready to do the biggest splash. Emily has a lovely warm rug to keep out the chilly air.
Caleb looks like he's going to have a painful landing in the biggest splash! Ryan Mapu gives it heaps for his bomb. Cody, Thomas and co are impressed!
Matthew
Matthew Webb hopes his Warrior shorts will help him win the 12 year boys' Biggest Splash! Korben Wilson is next up. Sorry, we don't seem to have any photos of Tawa winning the relay..... again!
