Awakeri School

Room 8 camp 2011

We had fun digging and diving for pipis. It was kinda difficult. Nicola picked up a shell and had a crab in it! We all had to eat a pipi. We were excited! Ethan is taking a good look.
"I don't like pipis'" said Luella. Logan and Monique did! "Hmm," said Noah and Rylee. Noah thought they were tasty. Rylee thought they were yummy.
Aah it's col swimming at the pipi beds. It was refreshing though. Kerry shows us what to do when we leave a pa site. Miss Robb makes sure he does the right thing!
Lining up to wash our hands as we leave Onekawa Pa. Monique and Gemma watch how it's done. Steve is trialling the water slide. I'm not sure who had the most fun!?
Wahoo Luella is coming down the slide as fast as possible. She is heading backwards! Yeehaa - here comes Nicole.
Ahh - lovely refreshing soapy muddy pool at the bottom of the slide. I think Maci is now dirty and wet. Matthys is taking a refreshing dip!
Check it out! We made sand sculptures in the evening when it was dark. Here we are looking at Gene, Tylar and Caleb's turtle sand sculpture. Amelia and Luella made this octopus by moonlight. It looks very cool in the day light.
Steve is tickling Nicole, or maybe he is checking how many pipis she ate! Scary creatures appear out of the mud.
I wonder how dirty I can get in this gooey mud? Miss Robb thinks she is a big kid! We all loved the bouncy pillow.
Time to wash off all of the yukky mud. Ready set go! "Race you to the towels!" said Braden. Guess who won!!
The water was lovely. Some people enjoyed being catapulted through the air.
