It was a beautiful day at Otarawairere. We even watched Moko the
dolphin playing with a group of surfers at West End as we walked
over the track!
Here Sam, Rico, Reilly and Mrs Luca have an island all to themselves
to study the rock pools. |
Now they are measuring up a pool. |
Mr Schlepers's group get ready to measure the temperature of their
low tide pool. |
A giant starfish in one of the pools. |
Here's a more normal sized cushion starfish, attached to Aroha! |
Christian's group are hard at work observing the pool, recording
the animals, what they're doing, how many, etc. |
It's nice to sit in a pohutukawa tree in your breaks! |
Or relax underneath one! Peace out everyone! |
Ezra works hard at his science studies. |
Science finished, now we're getting ready for a swim! |
Ready, set.... |
and we're off, into the surf. The parents are already out there,
forming a human boundary! |
Fun in the surf. We tried to get Moko to come
round to Otarawairere Bay, but he was still having too much fun
at West End Ohope. He'd stolen someone's boogy board! |
