AWAKERI SCHOOL
PRESENTS.....

THE LAST KIWI
A tale of hope triumph and of course a kiwi.
When the extinction of New Zealand's national bird, the Kiwi comes close, who do we call...........Awakeri school kids (and teacher) of course. There are only two more Kiwis left in New Zealand and of course the male is missing. Tane mahuta comes to the Awakeri kid in need of help. Using the TARDIS the children travel through a world of books to piece together a puzzle and find THE LAST KIWI.

Looks like someone missed out on their beauty sleep.
The WITCH, Stacey Law is made up ready for her Snow White scene. Her dancing in Witchy Poo is cool.
Ihipera Hakiaha led the kapa haka with excellence. Look at the cool corn braids that Andrea put in her hair too.
Scary. You won't see me reading Maori Myths in the middle of the woods. Just look what happen to these guys. Tyler is the teacher, and she leads her class through this journey to find the kiwi. Here we have the Queen (Belinda) and Alice (Tessa). Oh and J J J J... Wow I didn't know we had so many Jays at our school. Anyway they are in Wonderland, about to play croquet.
Russell is one of our protesters. I'm surprised that his hair hasn't started any protests. Michael and Kieran. And this is before they got into their costumes. Nah, just kidding. What they normally wear is much worse.
Here is our famous Tane Mahuta, God Of The Forest. Or you can just call him Edward. He sent the class off on their quest to find the kiwi. And who said boys can't wear make-up. Zac seems to be very used to this!
Aimee Jones and Carlene Steer did a cool dance to Opposites Attract. They were Tweedledum & Tweedledee. Here are our transition presenters Sarah and Ngahuia. Their arguments and one-upmanship kept the audience entertained between the eight acts. They also sang beautifully in the Dwarf Boogie and Mrs Gordon thought it was just a tape!
Joshua Graham was the librarian. Those glasses are just for show! Fire fire! That's Sarah and Sarah. I mean Sarah on the left and Sarah on the right. I mean they both have the same name ( if you haven't figured it out, it's Sarah). And guess what. Their Mums have the same name too.
Jemma Shaw looks stunning in her costume too.
