Year 7 & 8 Intensive 2013

 

Year 7s and 6s started off with team work, then they practised working with juniors for their leadership training. Here is Chloe Brown reading to Caleb Hanlen and Lily Muggeridge. Mrs Cronin is enjoying the story too!	Nakisha Rangiaho read to her two: Ollie Jones and Brad Yuill. Emma Paine and her student Isla Ferguson are enjoying the story too!
After that the yr 6 & 7 students taught their students a game. They had to be flexible because the weather kept interrupting them with rain showers! Finn Spod has got Mia Kennedy, Jade Moloney and Radha Carrington joining in well to the game of link tag.	Emily Robbie, Amelie Clements and Maci Bateson were teaching their group of Room 3 kids how to play Rob The Nest. They were quick learners!
Isaiah Davidson, Shardae Last and Jadyn Wilkinson are having heaps of fun playing Stuck in the Mud with their Room 3 kids.	Now it's lunch time. Mr Fitz has organised Chicken and chips for all the year sevens. Jacob Davis says 'yes please' to Mrs Wardell's offer of tomato sauce.
Now it's Friday. The year eights had a choice. Some went to golf at te Teko with Mrs Gordon. Cody Baker Bragg looks like he's going to whack this ball for miles! Chai Carrington looks impressed. However, we won't tell you what happened, other than this wasn't one of the 5 balls Cody lost on the day!	Courtney van der Horst is dressed like a real golfer. Very stylish!
Meanwhile.... the other year eights are at the skate park. Elana Spod has specially designed a vehicle (The Lani Express). It actually lasted quite a while and had quite a few journeys!	The bowl was harder to get out of than you thought. Sharni Goodman helps Caitlin Heberley out.
Alex Coventry, Jack Du Toit, his dad LJ and Jamie Findlay were playing basketball next door.	Caroline Paulsen tried the old trick photography flying lesson in the bowl.
Dylan Curtis got a bit of air at the bowl on his scooter.	Georgia Leonard Cobb came equipped with balloon attached to her. It didn't pop till she tried sliding on the grass!
The world record for balancing is....	Now that group is off to Tauwhare Pa. Chassidy Shelford-Tuki and Miss Robb try a new technique for not getting tagged on your back in the war game! Georgia Robinson Kearns decides to just use her speed.
Lara Wills is defending the pa, Miss Robb distracts her while LJ climbs up as well.	Meanwhile, the year sevens are at Thornton. They have lots of team building games to play.
Sophie Lawrence and Shardae Last are trying to get the bucket of water along the rope without spilling too much.	Tawari's group hold the plank while he figures out what to do next!
	Poppy Rika carries Chloe Brown to the other side. Jenae Brownless is getting ready for her turn.
