Fancy Dress 2017

The middle syndicate teachers made their presence felt! Father Christmas was a popular fancy dress outfit!
Room 15's band started off the night with three good items. The grand parade. These are the youngest students, Room 1.
The traditional Gay Gordon was danced by the seniors, then the year eights got someone from the audience up. Fletcher's costume made it tricky for him to dance with his mum. The junior's item was all about the legend of Wairaka.
The middle syndicate did a medley of jump jam. After all the dancing there was prize giving. Sam Smith was given the Petersen Family trophy for General Knowledge.
Ethan Forbes was named the top sports man. He, Ayla Rowe, Cody Hutchings and Kieran Butler were selected to receive the Principal's Award. The Year 8s were given their leaving certificates. Ayla Rowe and Jake Webb did a great speech on behalf of the year 8s. To finish the night, the departing year eights did a stirring haka. Haere ra Year Eights!
