~AWAKERI SCHOOL~

Fancy Dress 2016

There were lots of cool costumes at the fancy dress night. Here are Hayley, Bonnie-Marie and Sophie looking good. The junior school teachers had a theme. What number is that Mr Sheather?
The middle school teachers came with an appropriate wedding theme. Miss Duncan is looking round for the rest of her bridesmaids! The seniors were hippies. People teased Mr Hawkes that he just got his costume out of his wardrobe! Miss Reeve, along with Mrs Fletcher were farewelled later in the evenng.
Mitchell came as a chicken. Very trendy! The grandparade was spectacular.
The Glee Club opened the night with a performance of Dynamite. Alex Robbie did all the creative work. The junior syndicate sang Green Eggs and Ham.
The seniors followed with the Gay Gordon dance. At least Olivia is smiling! The year eights then invited parents up to join them. They're having fun!
The middle school jam jam medley followed. Then came prize giving. Sharaya Rangiaho gets the award for the best CAT tutor.
Tayla Jones hobbled across on her sore knee to win several awards. The year eights were given their leaving certificates along with some entertaining memories. Amber Fort is reminded of being prosecuted at mock court for spidermanning in her camp cabin!
Keegan Jones drove his van up to Mrs Cass for his certificate. The young children sat politely for quite a while watching.
Troy Wilson is the last year 8. The Principal's Award was given to Tayla Jones, Lucy Knott, Ella Jones and the very surprised Ben Olifiers!
Luck Knott and Ben White spoke on behalf of all the year eights. Finally the year eights finished with a haka. Ben O, Tiaki and Ryan get into it!
