~AWAKERI SCHOOL~

Fancy Dress 2010
14th December

Bryce Cameron
All ready in his principal's outfit, Bryce Coulter, who later received the Principal's Award. He was one of three. This is Cam Morrison, another of our handsome year eights, about to leave.
Elise
Elise Howe, made up as the guitarist from Kiss. She's actually a really cool guitarist too! Fancy dress, it's sometimes hard to tell who it really is!
Glamour girls Teacher pirates
Some of the glamorous girls: Brianna Goodman, who also got the Principal's Award, Abbey Coventry, Luisa Williams, Jessie Rosewarne and Sophie Howard. The junior school had a cool Pirates theme running. Here are their teachers. Time to have a shave Mr Sheather!
Awakeri School orchestra Grand parade
First up was the orchestra, with Heidi Parker conducting. They played three really good tunes. Then it was the grand parade. Here are some of the five year olds.
The Gay Gordons. That's Big Man Sam Holani on the inside of the circle, where the boys dance. This charming looking 'boy' on the outside is actually Holly Davis! Now they've changed partners, Holly is dancing with Ezra, Aroha dances with Sam...
Shjara and Kenneth Jane Gordon and Angela Taggart
A favourite of the seniors! The Gay Gordons. Here's Shjara Dakin dancing with Nikki's dad Kenneth Turpie. Two pretty flowers.... Jane Gordon and Angela Taggart, sadly both teachers are leaving Awakeri. This was their last fancy dress.
Fitz Hamish
Finally it's the awards. Mr Fitz reads out his speech. Hamish Inwood, who was the third recipient of the Principal's Award, makes the farewell speech with Aroha Ridley, on behalf of the year eights.
Then we all sat back and enjoyed the powerpoint of all the year eight photos. Funny!!!
