Here are some of the departing year eights getting ready for their
farewell. Dressed in green to make everyone envious... Jimikah,
Suzzy and Kayla. |
Looking cool are Dean and (cool bananas) Blake. |
Room 3 teacher Mrs Scott lines up with some of her students. |
Hats are in! Amber, Jen, Em and Mikaela are having fun. Well,
doesn't everyone love the folk dancing?! |
In disguise, dis guy, Caleb! |
Some lovely senoritas... Alicia and Jessie-Jane... |
... some more lovely senoritas, or is that senoras, Miss Robb,
Mrs Merry and Ms Sisam. |
The grand parade is on. |
Now its the dancing. Abbey does the Spanish dance Burriquito. |
Olivia dances with her junior partner in the Spin the Bottle.
Olivia Smits was one of three deserving students who received
the principal's award. Her kindness and caring to others, plus
her pursuit of excellence gained her the award.

Now it's time for the speeches. Miss Geerlings and Miss Campbell
listen carefully to Mr Fitz. |
Mr Fitz makes a speech about the school's successes, gives out
awards, and, later, does an impression of a goose (photograph not
included!). |
Kurt Turpie and Briar Walker give the farewell speech on behalf
of the year eights. They took the opportunity to tell a few tales
as well (thanks to assistant speech writer Susannah Williams!).
Suzzy was also the highest academic achiever award winner. |
You can't say that Kurt!
I just did!
Kurt and Briar were the other two to receive the principal's award,
for their use of the virtues and their contribution to the school. |
Next the school dance troupe entertained us with their tribute
to the late Michael Jackson. Luisa gets ready! |
Thrillers! |
Finally, some songs. The 12 Days of Christmas was acted out. Here's
Lord Sheather doing his leaping! |
And a partridge in a pear tree, aka Miss Taggart! |
From the sublime (Mrs Wardell), to the... |
fanatical football supporter (Mr H). Happy holidays everyone! |
