The sun was shining, the houses were all dressed in their colours. It's cross country day! Here is Rata house.	The senior girls are off. Sharni, Elana, Toni and Amelia start their run.

Ruby Murphy runs through the orchard. This year it's dry, for a change. Ruby ended up a close second to Caitlin Heberley.	In the 10 and 11 year old race, it was a good battle running through the orchard. Tayla is ahead of Tylar and Emily.

One of the tricky bits of the race. Alex Coventry climbs the rickety gate.	Jana Longney on her way to setting a new record for the 10 and 11 year girls. She already holds the record for the 8s and 9s!

Korben Wilson climbs the stile, heading back onto the school grounds. Korben did well, coming in second.	Mrs Merry did the announcing.

Mrs Turner recorded places on their runners' hands. Oscar and Keanen did well in their races.	Some people just have to run in bare feet, even if there are large prickles, barbary thorns, rusty gates and many other possible dangers. Go Sarah!

The new record holders are acknowledged. Kaia, Oliver and Jana have their names on our school records page.	Now it's time for Felicity to have a shave! OK Felicity?!
