Awakeri School

Cross Country

3 June 2010
Scroll down for the list of place getters.

Some of the starters in the 12 and 13 year olds races. Is Taylah the only one in the girls race who is not in house colours?! No she's not it looks like a Tawa top she has got on. New record setter Holly is fourth from right wearing those bright Kowhai colours.
Rico and Ezra have a good sprint for the line, with some of the many parents in the background. Aroha and Elise have a good battle around the stop banks.

Bailey and Brady enjoy running through the mud and puddles!

Mikayla is cheered on by Mrs Wardell as she sprints for the line to win the 8 and 9 year girls race.
Nikki is a determined runner, she was not far behind Holly. Petri charges through the orchard
Shane is dressed in Kowhai colours, buzzy bee yellow. Here are Ruby and Abbey in their sprint for fourth place at the finish line.
Mrs Parker is trying to get the crowd doing a Mexican wave. One Kowhai person has got the idea!! A good Room 5 Rata House finish. Caden and Seth are followed in by Campbell.
Holly, on her way to a new record, runs through the trees in the orchard before going back up the stop bank. Josh is about to be a Rata Rabbit, leading the 5 year old boys around their course. Don't get lost Josh!
The house leaders have got their 5 year olds safely to the start line. Here's Sammy smashing the old record by about 40 seconds, but you can see, she was pushed all the way by Lauren, who would have broken the record too!
