Cross country is a day to wear your house colours. Here Kowhai house get ready for their best efforts Zane is having some energy food too.	Kowhai are doing well in the senior girls. Tessa, Chaye, Amy, Brodi and Ihipera are all running hard up the school driveway, before they head off down the road and around the stream stop banks. New champion Ashleigh Parkinson and Vikki Lowndes are up ahead, out of the picture.

More of the senior girls powering along, hoping to get into the interschool squad that runs at Manawahe.	Sarah Richmond shows you can have fun as well as run cross country. "I think it's called happy country," Sarah might be saying.

Jayden Haddock and Taylah Bateson battled the 8 & 9 year old boys race for the whole journey. They went so fast that Jayden broke the record by seven seconds.	Shaun Musgrave, Stephen Glassbrook and Keanu Carter are not far behind. Keanu has his Tawa house colours on.

Kimberley Byres, Haylie Griffen, Selena Shaw and Te Riina Robinson are going well in the 10 & 11 year girls. They are chasing Steffi Rogers, who is up ahead.	The senior girls are helping get the juniors ready to run. Kelly, Julia, Sarah Moore and Ngahuia make sure the girls know where they have to run.
