AWAKERI SCHOOL
PRESENTS.....

Windust
Music by: Shade Smith
Script By: John Reynolds

The show opened with a bit of kapa haka. Here's Leonie leading the poi. Check out the kapa haka page of pictures. Professor Pecksniff (Emma Magee in these pics) and her daughter Alice (Jennifer Cram) trick the townspeople.
"Look up there.... a miracle! Quick Alice it's departure time" The sheriff (Matthew Orr-McKeown) tells the mayor (Ben Fretwell) about hiring a gunfighter.
Here is the gunfighter, the Drongo Kid (Guy Kamphorst). "Fire... did someone say fire?!" Guy sings about his life. Miss Scow, the school teacher, looks impressed!
Two school choldren, Shane (Kurt Turpie) and Charlotte (Christine Tipper in this show) run off to find the bandits. "Old Gutboat" aka Miss Scow (Shannon Mower) reveals her inner person, well, she will if she can get the velcro undone!
Bandit Ned (Liam Richards) complains about the boring life of a bandit. Bandit Chief (Aimee Jones) has a look at Charlotte, being held by Rosa (Brittany Harder). "Hold her for ransom"
Now the entertainers are on. Here's Stephen Cosgrove playing guitar. Madam Brown (Matthew Brown) sings a dazzling song. Well she dazzles some of the men anyway!
Can anyone be better than the cancan girls? Maybe the cancan boys can!

Behind the scenes, here is Shannon getting ready. Good luck Mrs Purches in sorting out Shannon's hair!
