At the moment our tallest bean is standing 44cm tall and that person's one is Katy. For story writing we have been writing about our experience at the supermarket.

31 August. 2009 We had a great time at the supermarket on Thursday. The jobs there are Checkout operators, shelfpackers, butchers, bakers, resource deliverers and the manager. Our beans stalks are growing really fast. We are going to measure them this afternoon. Another thing we have been doing is learning our verb families.

24 August. 2009 On Thursday we are going to the supermarket (PAK'n'SAVE). We will be looking at all the jobs there are around the market. We are learning about different types of skipping at the moment. All the other stuff we have been doing is math, reading, writing and all the other stuff.

Teacher's Message

Well done room 3, the new children have settled into the daily routines really well. Thanks to all the parents for your support with the home learning. It really helps the children in their story writing. The term is flying by. We had a very educational trip to the recycling centre in Whakatane and are now creating recycled models of our choice. Everyone has been working very hard, writing wonderful stories and learning all the numbers that make up 5 and 10.

Keep working hard and having a lot of FUN!! MrsScott.
