Term 4, Week 6: David Ernest. David is the current student of the week. David impressed the children in the class and I this well with his positive 'can do' attitude, his helpfulness and his work focus. He was an excellent role model for other students and made many positive contibutions to the classroom.

Teacher's Message

The children's hard work from Term 3 on creating designs for composting bins suitable for schools has been recognised by some environmental groups this term. Environment Bay Of Plenty presented a Kowhai tree to the class along with a framed certificate. The Kowhai tree is now planted in the native tree area. The certificate is displayed in the school foyer. We'd love to get a plaque for the tree so if any of you have contacts that could help us achieve that, please contact me. YHA and DOC have created special certificates for each child in the class and awarded them free Youth YHA membership for a year.

This is our teacher, Miss Isaac.
